Sora reentered the computer and helped Tron destroy the MCP and gave Tron full control of the digital realm. Merlin and Cid put together a program that could rid Space Paranoids of the MCP. When Sora returned to Hollow Bastion, he found out that the MCP had hacked into the town's defense system and was making Heartless in the Heartless Manufactory in Ansem's study. Sora fought against the Heartless in the Battle of the 1000 Heartless. Heartless swarmed the town and the Committee, with the assistance of Cloud, Tifa, Stitch, and the Gullwings (who had to be bribed into joining their side) defended the town from a Heartless Invasion. Two areas of the town were partially destroyed by this but gave access to new areas. The Master Control Program obtained access to the dataspace and started to destroy the town.
